Stomach Flu

This week has started off kind of bad. Monday, two of my really good friends were in a car accident. I was actually talking to one of them while they were driving. All I heard was a big bang and then them freaking out in the background. Next thing I know the phone cuts out. 10 mins later they call me and tell me what had happened. I had to go pick them up and the car was totaled. They were safe so that was a huge relief. I dropped them off and went to get weighed. Best news of the week was when I saw that I had dropped about 5  pounds. I was really happy about that.

Tuesday was just an ordinary day, we really didn't do much. We went to visit Jazmin and Angel at their apartment which was really nice. I am now thinking of looking into those apartments when it's time for  me to find a new place. We enjoyed some Mike's pizza and called it a night.

Wednesday. This is the day it all went sour. The cupcake was sleeping in my bed because I had heard that it was suppose to be about 30 degrees over night and I wanted to  make sure that the Cupcake stayed warm. Luckily, she slept with me otherwise I would have never heard her choking. Yes, she was choking. At about 5am I woke up because I could feel her moving around in bed so I took a look and sure enough she was choking on her vomit. I right away picked her up and turned her over so that whatever was in her mouth would come out. Of course all the throw up landed on her and myself. I got us cleaned up and ready for bed again when another round of puking hit us. This is when I knew I wasn't going to get anymore sleep that morning. She did this about 3 other times. Fortunately, she had a doctor appointment that day, so I didn't have to worry about scheduling one last minute. The whole morning was hectic. She looked absolutely miserable and I felt absolutely helpless. Something was wrong with my daughter and there was nothing I could do. We arrive at the doctors and she gets checked. She weighs 15.4 pounds and is 25.5 inches tall. She is still growing. Everything seems normal so far, the doctor then tells me that she has the stomach flu and there isn't much anything we can do but just keep her hydrated. This isn't exactly what I wanted to hear. I  made the appointment for her 1 year check up and we were off to get her some Pedialite. The rest of the day was pretty okay. She was no  longer throwing up and retaining the food she was taking in. She was very pouty the whole day though which had me babying her all evening.

This is her wanting to only sleep in mommies arms.

Thursday. She was doing a lot better but once I got home she cried. You know that "sentida" type of cry. The kind were she is upset that you left her knowing she was still hurting. Of course yesterday was another day of babying her all evening. I don't mind at all it makes for good mommy and baby bonding. Now even though she was feeling better, which is good, I started getting an upset stomach. So yes you guessed it, I now have the stomach flu. How is it that mothers always have to contract whatever their children have.

Friday. Today just sucks! I am miserable, and to think that she was feeling what I am feeling right now makes it worse. My stomach has been turning all day and it wont stop. I have tried medicine and it doesn't do anything for me. So I guess I have to ride it out just like the cupcake. I hope it is a 24 hour bug just like hers. We have to visit Mickey tomorrow so I really hope I feel better. Crossing my fingers over here.
