New Year Resolutions

I always manage to have a long list of resolutions that I don't intend to keep. Well not this time, this time I actually plan to keep them. I will be making sure I keep them, not just for myself but for my daughter. And the list begins like this (in no particular order):

1. Lose 30 pounds/get fit. Now, I don't necessarily have to lose the 30 pounds even though it would be nice, what I really want is to get fit or healthy if you may. My daughter needs me to have all the energy in the world to keep up with her. To do this I need to get in shape, something  I am promising myself and my daughter I will do. I hate making promises because I have to keep them now.
2. 365 photo project. This is going to be a a great way for me to stop being lazy and actually take out my camera and take pictures of whatever whenever. I am excited for this one. This should definitely improve my photography skills.
3. Eat Clean! This one goes hand in hand with getting fit but its also something I need to learn to do for the rest of my life. I want to teach my daughter that healthy food can be just as fun as junk food.
4. Find a nursing job. I get lazy when it comes to looking for a job. I guess you could say I am comfortable with the job I have now. The pay isn't great so that is why I need to finally put my credentials to work.
5. Blog more. I think the 365 photo project will help with that.

I guess you could say, these sound more like 2012 goals than actual resolutions. Either way, I really hope to get all of this accomplished. So this is my last post of the year, I am looking forward to an awesome 2012. Happy New Year

My Christmas gift

One of the presents I was super excited for was my new phone (my mom helped me pay for it as my present). I had debated for over 4 months now what phone to get and yet I still couldn't decide what I wanted. My two options were the Droid 3 and the iPhone 4s. Now to some people this would have been an easy decision...yes I am looking at you iPhone lovers, but for me I just can't let go of the QWERTY keyboard, which is something the iPhone doesn't have. After going over all pros and cons I decided on this baby...

And I am happy with my decision. It will make life a little easier not having to take out the battery every single day because it freezes up on me. I wont have tons of ad pop ups because that's the problem that a lot of Android users have. Overall, I am just excited to convert to Apple products. Next purchase on  my list is a case. Now, I can't just get any case. I need a case that will protect it from the Cupcake. So I need this to be a case that will protect it from drool (waterproof) as well as, head banging and floor banging (shock absorbent). So far after a lot of review readings I have come to the conclusion and the best so far is the Otterbox.

It wont be exactly this boring black color because I mean I did buy the white phone. So I will see what my color options are first. I am just so happy about this gift that I just had to share. Looking forward to taking more awful cellphone pictures.


Since I wont have the internet over the weekend, I just want to wish everybody a happy and safe New Years.
