If you knew me...

I have seen several blogs and Instagrammers do this, so I thought I would give it a go as well...

  1. I am obsessed with boobs (in the non gay way) You know how in the movie Superbad Seth draws dicks like all the time and he couldn't help it, He wasn't gay but was obsessed with the penis, well, it's sort of like that. And because I don't have a huge rack myself I will be buying those puppies this year. Hopefully it solves my boob obsession. Creeped out yet ha!
  2. I blow my nose really loud. It sounds like I am playing a tuba loud. I could be quieter but something about blowing my nose loud...I don't know.
  3. I pee in the shower all the time. I could be almost peeing in my pants but if I know I am going to shower in the next 10 minutes, I will hold it and release once I step in.
  4. I have a gonk eye, or at least that's what I call it. It's when one eye is bigger than the other. In some pictures of me it's really noticeable and in others you really can't tell. I am really self conscious about it.
  5. I hate peanut butter but I eat it. It's not the consistency that bugs me, it's the smell and taste of it. It skeeves me but I will eat it when there is absolutely nothing else to eat in my house. On that note, I love Ritz crackers with peanut butter.
  6. I hate driving on the freeway. Everyone that knows me knows that. It's my biggest fear...well it's a tie between that and my fear of spiders.
So I ask Panda (yes I call the Bubba Panda also) if he can shoot me some ideas and this is what he came up with...

So there you go...did I lose you as a friend yet? or did I just become a creep in your book?

xoxo,
Eve

Hawaii part 1

Okay my stupid blog wont let me upload them in order. Oh well I will give you a little description underneath each picture.

Here I am ready to head out to the beach to go snorkeling with the whole fam bam.
I went for a run in the morning with the Bubba and this was the view. By the way this is not an edited picture, that's simply how beautiful Kauai is.
The Bubba took this shot of me facing the ocean while we rested after our run.
Cupcake in her cute bathing suit ready for the beach.
This was taken at the spouting hole. This is a beautiful beach and we spotted a couple of turtles in the water. We like coming here for the outdoor shops since their merchandise is way cheaper than what's in the actual stores.
This is me being a tourist ha! I was posing at LAX airport waiting for us to depart to Hawaii.
This is us after our run.

This was Bubba holding the Cupcake just when we landed. She was awake the whole plane ride there but once we landed she was out. Are you kidding me?!
This was taken at Anini Beach. We were having a picnic when it decided to rain pretty hard on us like 5 minutes after this picture was taken.
This was outside one of those cute little churches that are made out of volcanic rock. What I like about this church is that, it's very intimate, super small maybe seats like 30 people if that.
Putting my feet in the Hawaii sand for the first time.
The view from my room in the condo. It was amazing and I could hear the waves perfectly at night.

This is the spouting hole.
This was from the first day, we went for a walk right after we unpacked our bags.
I was going to do a post about what to pack but I got super busy so yea sorry. But this is all that was packed. Mostly Cupcakes clothes since I knew I was going to be living in my swimsuits. Oh and yes that is my bra at the corner.
I love this tree tunnel. It is so beautiful and if we are going to be near by, we made it a thing to drive through it.
This is us at the spouting hole waiting for my momma to finish doing her shopping. She loves to shop.
On the plane waiting for the plane ride to be over.

Not enough of us

I was reading a blog (sometimes sweet) and she was talking about how she is vain in the sense that she deletes a lot of pictures with her in them that she thinks are not so flattering. She mentions how she is going to stop doing that.

I have the same problem. I take loads of pictures at a time so that I never miss a perfect moment, but sometimes that perfect moment is missed because of my vanity. There are some awesome shots but then you see my double chin or I have a droopey eye, or my arm is fat, or my gut is sticking out. It's so sad that little things like that matter to me now but wont matter later on. What will matter is that I don't have a print of that time we went to Disneyland and we're on its a small world or the time we were at the beach and the cupcake gave me a kiss because in those pictures there was some sort of flaw that I didn't want anyone to remember or see. Just like in (sometimes sweet) when we look back at old pictures we wont see the flaws but we will see the love and happiness in the images. You know, the stuff that matters and what makes us capture the images in the first place.

I am going to try my hardest to look past my imperfections in a picture and see it for what it is, a beautiful memory that gets to be remembered later on.

That mom...

I never thought I would be the kind of mom that tried all the gadgets out there for kids to help with this or that, but I find myself being a lot more like that mom than what I thought I would be. I never thought of getting Cupcake a bumbo but here she is learning how to sit up on a Bumbo her daddy bought her. Neatest little seat, but its going to be one of those things that is gonna start collecting dust in a few months when she's grown out of it.

Car seats suck!

I strongly dislike carseats, my poor Cupcake's head comes forward all time because she can't hold her head up yet, and the little head support cushion she has doesn't help. It did at first but not anymore. It makes me so mad watching her get mad because her head is leaned forward. So on a good day I have no problems with the car seat and the cushion is doing its job, but I still hate them. Car seat companies can we do something about this?

Mother's Day Weekend

This was officially my 1st mother's day and I was super excited to spend  my day with Cupcake. We had some pizza for lunch and garlic bread and then went to Kohl's for some shopping fun. She was even a good girl and let  mommy sleep in an extra 30 mins which where much needed. Being a mom has made me see life in a whole new perspective. The things I use to not be able to live without are the things that no longer matter to me, or matter very little. She has taught me so much more  in these past two months, than what I have learned overall in my whole life. She never seizes to amaze me, there is never a dull moment. My daughter is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Boo Boo

Yesterday Cupcake received her 2 month shots and let me tell you it was all bad. The day for her started out great, she was such a happy person, even at the Doctors office, of course before the vaccines. We had her on her tummy on the weighing table so that she can play. She was all smiles and giggles. I even held her for a while, while we waited for the Doctor to come in and take a look.

Of course that huge grin was before the horrible experience she was about to go through. The doctor said she weighed 9.6 pounds and was 22 inches long. She is in the 30th percentile which is good. She is growing just "perfect" her choice of words not mine. After asking the doctor a few questions, she let me know I was doing great with Cupcake, and that after her shots she might experience a slight fever, but to just give her some Tylenol that she would prescribe and she should be ok. Just give her lots of TLC while at home.

The nurse comes in with 3 vaccines and one droplet. She had Cupcake swallow the 1st medicine, then asked to hold her arms down while she gave her the 3 injections in her little legs. I have never ever heard my poor baby cry like she did. She was in excruciating pain, or that's what it sounded like. She was so upset, I held her as soon as I could and went home to give her a warm bath and gave her some Tylenol as prescribed and she slept for a few hours. When she woke up, she was a little out of it, but doing a lot better, she eventually got back to her usual self, a happy baby. We got her the swing I have been wanting so that's what made her whole day better. Fisher Price, thank you for your wonderful inventions.

Such a Happy Baby

I get to wake up to smiles more often than not. She seems to be a morning person, which is a good thing because so am I. Sometimes I watch her sleep and she smiles and laughs while she's dreaming, I think its really cute that she does that. I always say she must be dreaming about boobies because thats were her milk comes from.

Mornings

My mornings now begin at 5:30am. They use to begin at almost 7am but since Cupcake takes a while to wake up and to eat, well my days start earlier. She is the best part of my mornings, seeing her make those huge stretches is funny to me because she makes the silliest faces. My favorite stretch pose is what I like to call the Superman Pose because she stretches her little arms out  above her head and leaves them there. It's the cutest thing in the world. Anyways, after I feed her she usually goes back to sleep, I call that the power of the boob. Its magical, it will make her quiet when she's mad, and it puts her to sleep just when I need that "me" time. Oh the lovely powers this one simple body part can do.
