Made a healthy crunchy taco. I baked wanton wrappers and I cooked some ground turkey with taco seasoning, topped off with Mexican blend cheese and pico de gallo. Delish!

I am not a fan of Nutella unless its in something. I baked these marsmallow-almond-nutella super fudge brownies. They were so goood!

Weekend round up

This 62,63,64,65 and then some. This weekend was super awesome! Friday night the Bubba made some yummy shrimp tacos. He wasn't stingy with the shrimp like at restaurants. We didn't do much the rest of the night because I had to get up early to go to an optometrist appointment. By the way I got new eye glasses and I absolutely love them. My other ones were super old and I needed an upgrade.

Saturday, like I said got new glasses and then the Bubba, cupcake and I went to Target to buy her a swimsuit and some other goods. Then we went to Babies R Us to purchase a new stroller. We actually have one already, which is our Safety 1st Travel system (click on the brand name to see which one we own) But what we now needed was a light weight stroller for our Hawaii trip next month. I have been lemming for the Baby jogger one for as long as I can remember. So that's what we purchased. I absolutely love everything about it. We bought the 2011 model since the 2012 didn't really have anything that I "needed" to have. I took the Cupcake out for a spin in it that night and she was so comfy in it. I wish I had taken a picture so you can really believe me.

That night I also stopped by Old Navy to exchange some jeans I had purchased about 2 weeks ago that were a tad too big in the leg area. That is when I discovered I went down a pant size. Whoo hooo! I was so happy I rewarded myself with some new shorts.

Sunday, we went to church and then I spent all day with the Cupcake. She is such a little monster when she is teething. She was everywhere and keep fussing about everything. Pieces of banana may or may not have been thrown at me during lunch time. She finally took her afternoon nap after several kicks, turns, and flips on my bed.

59. Yum yum

My brother's friend baked some yummy cookies. It's a peanut butter chip cookie covering an Oreo. Yup it was amazing in my mouth. I really need to stop eating junk.

Catching up...

On number 55,56,57 and 58. It has been a chaotic weekend because we had the Cupcakes birthday Friday and her birthday party/baptism on Saturday and clean up on Sunday. I'm going to make it into a collage so that I can explain more or less of what went on these past few days.

Went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. It was awesome, she really enjoyed looking at all the fish. She was so pooped she was out cold when we put her in her car seat for the drive home.

Saturday was her birthday party and Baptism. We got all dressed up but dressed down for the party. Got my Thing Mom shirt since it was a Dr. Seuss theme party.
 

The Cupcake was so tired that she napped for an hour and a half! That never happens so I took advantage and took a nap along with her. When we got up it was so nice outside I took her for a walk on her buggy. I also made my own "super nachos" a lot healthier well not healthier but less grease than the kind you buy at Alberto's. We wrapped up our weekends with lots of giggles and tickles. Nights like last night need to happen more often. She seriously makes me so happy. That smiles makes everything bad in my life not matter anymore. I love her so much it truly is amazing.

Twinkle lights

Friday was a relax day. Marc, the baby and I went to Rich's shrimp shack in West Covina to try it out since it's a new place. We are always looking for new places to try. We both ordered shrimp plates and seriously it was like eating garlic and shrimp as our side, that's how much garlic was on our food. I should've took a picture but I was seriously starving that I gobbled it up. We smelled for like two days. The rest of the evening we spent it just watching the Cupcakes favorite show....Special Agent Oso.

Saturday rolled by and we were at Marc's house. The whole family was coming over to decorate the Christmas tree since they do that every year. We were hanging out for a little while playing on the floor before the family came over.

The cupcake was getting upset because I kept taking pictures of her. She is gonna love/hate the camera. Once the family came over, they were taking turns holding her and showing her the fun decorations. Here she is with auntie Amy.

Marc started putting up the lights on the tree and you bet she was all over those lights.

She was so happy just looking at the tree all decorated with ornaments and those white lights. It's finally starting to look a lot more like Christmas.

Pincer Grasp

The cupcake is finally getting the hang of the Pincer Grasp. It pretty much means she can pick up things with her thumb and index finger. She also likes to feed herself spaghetti and ABC soup. Life is pretty much normal and the same. We get to go see Santa Claus next week I believe, if I don't make plans with friends.

Brrrrr

You can definitely tell its fall. Well it actually feels more like winter if you ask me. I love fall, the colors of the leaves, the crisp air, the comfy clothes, and the indoor time is the best. The cupcake has been adjusting well to the temperature. The time change is actually a different story, but I won't go there. It is very difficult finding hats or beanies for her since she has a small head and everything is made real big or for kids that are much older than her. We make do with what is available even if it is not the most cutest thing out there. So far the Cupcake still has just the one tooth at the bottom, its coming out but not yet visible, even though you can definitely feel it. She also started using her sippy cup that has a straw. We went to dinner with Ceci and while at dinner I had her try it using a regular straw and she actually knew how to do it. So I brought out the sippy cup she had and voila she was able to drink out of it. I think she prefers this over her regular spout cup. We've also expanded the menu for her. I try to give her more table food. So far she's had egg yolk, piece of chicken, soup, pasta and rice. And she did try pancakes with syrup. Probably not a good idea since its all sugar and I'm really trying not to give her sugar this early. Let's see what else...oh yes we have also been practicing standing up. I'm not trying to rush it, I'm just encouraging it :-)

Everything has been good with the cupcake. On my end well not so good. My friend Ceci took off and I am sad that I don't know when I will get to see her again. Also Faby no longer wants to speak to me. I'm sad and heartbroken but I am just hoping that with time she might change her mind. Uncle Ernie is in his last days of Soccer tryouts so we are really hoping he makes the JV team. Lastly, the holidays are coming up. I am excited only because this is my 1st year with the cupcake so they should be different than any of the previous years. My birthday is coming up also but all I plan on doing is taking the cupcake to get pictures with Santa and getting a tattoo. I already know what I want, so I am super excited for it. I will be taking more pictures of the cupcake in the coming weeks, so I'm hoping it will make this blog a little more fun...because everyone like pictures.
